irene-abdouphotography-2014_02671-Edit-Edit-web-readyMargaret Ascienzo – Margaret joined the organization in 1993, supporting clients in her role as intake coordinator and office manager. She was raised in Long Island, New York, graduated from Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, and relocated to the Washington area in 1976. Before shifting her energies in support of the practice, Margaret worked as an educator, advocate, and tutor to students and their families.

Sarah Hardy, Psy.D. – Dr. Hardy earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University. She is currently a licensed psychologist in Maryland. Before entering the private practice setting, Dr. Hardy worked in a school-based community mental health center, a public charter school, a community mental health clinic, and a forensic clinic during her clinical training. Dr. Hardy specializes in psychological assessment and has worked at KSA since 2008.

Robert Kindel, Psy.D. – Prior to joining KSA in 2011, Dr. Kindel worked as psycho-educational consultant for several Washington, DC public charter schools, as well as two school districts outside of the Chicago metro area. Dr. Kindel earned his doctorate from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, and he has experience working in both community mental health and university settings.

Christina Massari, Psy.D. – Dr. Massari is a licensed psychologist who earned her doctorate in clinically psychology at the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Prior to joining KSA in 2012, she worked in a variety of settings in the Boston area including community mental health centers, private practice, a juvenile forensic clinic, and a partial hospital during her training. Dr. Massari specializes in psychological assessment.

Ksenia Kuzmycz, M.A. – Following completion of two master’s degrees in Psychology and certification as a school psychologist, Ksenia Kuzmycz worked as a school psychologist for several years. She subsequently took time off to raise her children before pursuing further graduate studies in learning disabilities, focusing particularly on educational assessment and academic therapeutic interventions. She has been working as an educational diagnostician in a variety of settings for over twenty years.

Abby Smith, M.A. – Mrs. Smith is an educator and diagnostician who provides educational assessments and conducts workshops on study skills and test taking strategies for students. Prior to joining KSA, Mrs. Smith was a special education administrator for a school district in New Jersey. She has over 15 years of experience in public, private, and independent school settings. Abby received her M.A. from Teachers College at Columbia University, her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a master’s level certification in assessment from Montclair State University. She maintains a Maryland teaching license and is a member of LDA, CEC, and WISER.

Christine M. Cariello, Psy.D. – Dr. Cariello earned her doctorate in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University’s Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in the Bronx, NY. During her training, she worked with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings, such as a public school, an inpatient psychiatric hospital, an outpatient mental health clinic, and in juvenile forensic services. Following completion of her Doctoral Internship at the Washington DC Department of Mental Health, she completed a year-long residency, where in addition to providing psychotherapy, she served as Director of an ADHD Clinic in an outpatient community mental health clinic. Dr. Cariello then began working at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA) where she provided intensive individual and family psychotherapy to seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents in a residential treatment setting. In addition to her role as a staff psychologist, she also spent some time as the Institute’s Director of Psychology Internship Training. Dr. Cariello has been a contractor with KSA since 2011 and also maintains a private practice.

Amy Loveless Imam, Psy.D. – Dr. Imam earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. Prior to her doctoral work, Dr. Imam earned her masters degree in criminology at Cambridge University in England. Prior to joining Stefano & Associates Dr. Imam worked in a variety of clinical settings, including a forensic hospital, residential treatment program, and therapeutic day school. Dr. Imam specializes in psychological assessment and in attachment-based work with children, adolescents, and families.

Hilary Roscoe Mandzik, Psy.D. – Dr. Mandzik earned a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University. Prior to earning her doctorate, Dr. Mandzik earned her masters degree in education at Harvard University. In addition to her work in private practice, Dr. Mandzik has experience working in several clinical settings, including therapeutic schools and residential treatment centers. Dr. Mandzik specializes in social-emotional assessment and in therapeutic work with children, adolescents, and families.
